Citizens, landowners, ranchers, farmers, cheese makers and tankers are all coming together to honor State Senator Ken Haar for his work protecting the Ogallala Aquifer. Sen. Haar was the force behind a Special Session on the pipeline and continues to make sure the proper laws get put in place to protect our land and water.

Now it’s time for the Pipeline Fighters and the Sandhills Lovers to stand with Sen. Haar.

Robert and Kristine Bernt, owners of Clear Creek Organics, are hosting the event on June 28 & 29 with a group of citizens serving on the Host Committee. The main event is Friday evening, check below for details and address to the event.

Spread the invite around to your friends and family. Click here for a PDF of the invite you can email your friends.

On Friday, June 29, come watch cows get milked and see how butter and cheese are made at the Clear Creek Organic farm. You can also go tanking on Friday during the day. In the evening (starting at 5:30pm), we will eat amazing local food, listen to live music and hear from Sen. Haar.

Check out Cedar River Adventures for info on tanking. Raymond Bernt is letting you tank for free if you attend the Haar event.

Comstock Lodge is located in Sargent and has amazing private rooms for about $100 a night.

You can stay on the Clear Creek Organic farm if you have a tent or a camper.

Otherwise towns close by that have hotels/motels are Albion and Ord (a super cute small town).

Look around online or on Nebraska’s bed and breakfast site to find unique places to stay, like the Shepherd’s Inn.
