Our members of Congress are back in Nebraska for five weeks of recess starting this week. They are holding a series of town hall meetings starting tonight to hear from people like you on important issues. Our friends at Nebraska Appleseed put together a listing of the meetings so you can speak out in favor of a common-sense immigration system that provides a path to citizenship. Don’t forget to make a phone call to their offices this week as well. Your voice makes a great difference!

Our members of Congress are back in Nebraska for five weeks of recess starting this week. They are holding a series of town hall meetings starting tonight to hear from people like you on important issues.

We invite you to attend one of these events in your area and ask your Representative to support a modern immigration system that includes a clear and attainable process for citizenship for aspiring citizens.

Let your Representative (and Senator) know Nebraskans want a common-sense and up-to-date immigration system that provides a strong foundation for our families, our communities, our economy and our future. Creating a clear and attainable process for citizenship for aspiring citizens:

  • Reflects our Nebraska values of humanity, family, and common sense.

  • Keeps children from suffering under our current system that separates kids from parents and leaves many in fear of having their family broken apart.

  • Protects workers and strengthens our economy, cutting $200 billion from our federal deficit in the first decade and $700 billion in the following 10 years.

We hope you can make it out to one of these events and speak directly to your Representative. Don’t forget to make a phone call to their offices this week as well. Your voice makes a great difference!
