Gov. Pete Ricketts must submit a Nebraska energy plan so that our state is able to meet our goal of 40% reduced carbon emissions that will bring substantial health benefits and savings, and the opportunity to transition from dirty fuels and usher in more clean wind and solar energy in Nebraska.
* WHAT: Don’t Let Ricketts “Kick the Can”; Submit a Nebraska Energy Plan
* WHEN: Wednesday, October 14 at 5:30 p.m.
* WHERE: Governor’s Mansion, 1425 H St., Lincoln, NE 68508

* SIGN the PETITION: Tell Ricketts: Support the Clean Power Plan.
If Gov. Ricketts refuses to submit a Nebraska state energy plan, the federal government will step in and impose its own plan to ensure our state meets the new reduced carbon emissions goals.
Ricketts and Attorney General Peterson have already attempted to kill this plan in the courts, and are planning to file another lawsuit once the final emissions reduction goals are officially published later this month.
Join us outside the Governor’s mansion on Wednesday, Oct. 14 to play a game of “Kick the Can,” and tell Gov. Ricketts to submit a Nebraska state energy plan. *If you can’t join us, be sure to sign the petition urging Ricketts to support the plan to reduce Nebraska’s carbon pollution.
