We have a couple of very special art projects planned for the Sept. 27 “Harvest the Hope” benefit concert featuring Neil Young and Willie Nelson here in Nebraska.
We’ll need a bunch of volunteers who can join us for a two-day Art Party — Sept. 17-18, 10am-7pm — to help us complete the art projects. Join us for a couple of hours: you don’t need to attend both days, or be there all day!
We have recruited the extremely talented local artist and Sicangu Lakota tribal member Steve Tamayo to spearhead these art projects, which will be created at Therman Statom Studios in Omaha. (There is parking at the studio, and we will provide snacks for all the artists!)
The projects will include painting, so please dress appropriately. Kids are especially welcome, to help create some special artwork that will be used to beautify the concert venue on the Tanderup farm outside Neligh, Nebraska.
