Bold Nebraska Files Conflict of Interest Complaints Against City of Fremont,
Dodge County Government Officials

Complaints filed Thursday with the Nebraska Accountability Disclosure Commission

Lincoln — After working with farmers and citizens in the city of Fremont, Bold Nebraska filed multiple complaints today with the Nebraska Accountability Disclosure Commission, alleging conflicts of interest within the City of Fremont and Dodge County governments.

The complaints were filed against Scott Getzschman, the mayor of Fremont; Leslie Leech, a member of the Greater Fremont Development Council; and Paul Gifford, a member of the Fremont city board of public works.

The complaints allege that these individuals failed to disclose financial interests and conflicts, which may have influenced government policy and decisions. Under the Nebraska Political Accountability and Disclosure Act, public officials and employees are prohibited from using their office for financial gain and officials are required to disclose potential conflicts of interest.

The Commission is expected to investigate these claims and determine whether the law has been violated.
