What if you had only three minutes to save the Great Plains? The Center for Great Plains Studies and The Nature Conservancy put this challenge to some of Nebraska’s leading conservationists.

I am humbled to be part of this project.

Folks will offer lessons, arguments, and calls to action on topics like grassland health, ground water protection, and what citizens can do to save what remains of native plants and wildlife in our state.

The challenge: we only get three minutes to make our case.

You can also see Michael Forsberg’s photographs of Great Plains: America’s Lingering Wild on the walls of the Museum.

Doors open at 5:00 and the Jam begins at 5:30 at the Center for Great Plains Studies, 1155 Q Street, Lincoln.

It will be followed by an informal reception where attendees will have time to collect information, chat/argue with the presenters, and ask questions. There will be snacks!
