Many of us expected the budget talks to move forward and actually have a plan that would not only ensure the government would pay their bills, but also cut where we can and raise taxes on millionaires and billionaires…top 1%, big oil, and companies who took tax-payer money to save their business and who are now making record profits for shareholders.
We will update this story as we get more news. Rep. Boehner is saying he still plans on going to the White House on Sunday for talks, but that they can not agree to a plan that is big, you know, a plan with vision–a plan that would cover the gashing wounds because band-aids simply will not cut it this time around.
