Crop art protest of the Keystone XL pipeline.

We need volunteers to come help pull weeds in the rows of hand-planted sacred Ponca corn, and organic soybeans that make up the #NO KXL Crop Art installation on farmer Art Tanderup’s land near Neligh, Nebraska.

We can arrange a time that’s convenient for you or your group. Just send an email to mark@boldnebraska.org and we can arrange a day and time.

Needs weeding!

Volunteers should bring a hoe, machete or other garden tools commonly used to help with pulling weeds, and we’d recommend gardening gloves. We’ll give you instructions on site so you know exactly what to look for, so we make sure to protect the organic corn and soybeans.

DIRECTIONS TO THE FARM:

  • From Neligh: 8 miles north on HWY 14 to 857 RD, west 2/3 of a mile, then north up the lane
  • From the junction of HWY 20 and HWY 14: 7 miles south on HWY 14 to 857 RD, west 2/3 of a mile, then north up the lane
