Nebraska citizens, landowners and nonprofit groups launch a statewide buy of an ad that features Nebraska landowner Randy Thompson.  The ad sends a clear message for the desired outcome of the Special Session.  Citizens and landowners expect the Governor and the legislature to pass a bill that will re-route the pipeline out of the Sandhills and out of the heart of the Ogallala Aquifer.

Randy Thompson has become not only a strong voice in the fight against the pipeline, he has given hope to citizens and landowners across the country that our voices will matter more to our elected officials than the lobbyists and special interest groups that TransCanada has hired to push their risky tarsands pipeline.

The ad buy starts on Friday.  This will be the first television ad that nonprofit groups, citizens and landowners opposed to the pipeline produced.

Nebraska groups sponsoring the ads: Nebraska League of Women Voters, Nebraska Wildlife Federation, Bold Nebraska, Nebraska Farmers Union, Nebraska Interfaith Power and Light, Nebraska Sierra Club, Green Party, Lincoln 350.org, Gaurdians of the Good Life, Audubon Nebraska, Nebraskans for Peace, Western Nebraska Resources Council
