On August 25th, in Grand Island, Deb Fischer and Bob Kerrey will have their only scheduled debate for the US Senate (although we hear Kerrey accepted invite to debate Fischer on Fox News and she has not responded yet).
*Landowners, citizens and groups will hold a Press Conf at 3:15pm in the parking lot before the debate.*
Participating in democracy is what we all do best!
So let’s show up, hear what the candidates say and use the debate as a way to decide who best represents your ideas and values.
It’s our hope there will be a clear and direct pipeline question asked since Deb Fischer is misleading Nebraskans about her 2006 eminent domain bill which gave oil pipelines a free ride to seize Nebraskans land. Fischer also stated the Sandhills were safe to build a maximum capacity, 800,000 barrels of tarsands a day, through our land and water.
