Political junkies are getting their fix with turkey (and tofurkey if you are our News Director) today. But that doesn’t stop any of us from also looking at our favorite political blogs, Facebook and Twitter.  Here is a round-up of some great holiday reading and viewing.  If politics happens to come up at the dinner table, encourage your friends and family to get involved in our opposition to the TransCanada pipeline.  Enjoy the time with your family and friends!

Omaha Reader asked local leaders what they are thankful for this year…we have a quote in there along with Sen. Johanns, Jeff Slobotski and Rachel Jacobson.

Political Wire graced us with all the best political videos from this year…”I’m also very thankful for candidates who are not witches, politicians who pray to the Aqua-Buddha, political ads with guns, and our most enthusiastic public servants.”

Politico gives us our President’s Thanksgiving message.  Obama says, “We are among the world’s youngest of peoples, but time and again, we have boldly and resiliently led the way forward.”

Obama continues, “What we are called to do again today isn’t about Democrats or Republicans. It’s about what we know this country is capable of. It’s about what we want America to be in this new century.”

Bold Nebraska set out earler this year to transcend partisan lines and bring Nebraskans together to work on issues that move our state forward. Thank you for reading, retweeting, reposting on your Facebook pages and taking action to build a Bold Nebraska.
