This Friday, MSNBC news host Ed Schultz will travel to Nebraska, to meet with farmers and ranchers facing threats of eminent domain on their land from TransCanada for the proposed Keystone XL pipeline.

After coming out in favor of Keystone XL, Ed devoted a segment on his show to KXL every day last week. Schultz was roundly criticized for his position by many guests he invited onto his show, including Bold Nebraska director Jane Kleeb. We’re encouraged that Ed is still listening to the chorus of voices trying to get him to come around on this, and that he’s coming to hear firsthand and share with his audience the stories of people in the path of the pipeline.

Join us to welcome Ed at the Build Our Energy Barn, the wind and solar-powered barn that we built with online donations and volunteers on land directly in the path of Keystone XL.

WHAT: Welcome MSNBC’s Ed Schultz & “The Ed Show” to Nebraska
WHEN: Friday, Feb. 21, 9:00—9:30 a.m.
WHERE: The Build Our Energy barn, near Bradshaw, Nebraska (about 30 min. NW of York)

  • From Harmony Nursery and Daylily Farm (705 Road 22, Bradshaw, NE 68319): Continue West on Road 22 for approximately 1.5 miles to the barn, which will be on your right (can’t miss the solar panels on the roof!)
  • Wear your Pipeline Fighter t-shirt / armband and make a sign to welcome Ed & his crew to Nebraska
  • Note: Because of the small space, we can only have an already selected group of landowners and citizens inside the barn for TV interviews.

We encourage everyone to come out and shake Ed’s hand and give him a Cornhusker Pipeline Fighter welcome!
