York County Zoning Board Vote
THURSDAY, AUGUST 7, 2014 – 7:00 P.M.
York County Courthouse, 510 N. Lincoln Avenue, York NE 68467

A citizen-led group called the Good Life Alliance in York County, Nebraska has been tirelessly pushing for common-sense zoning regulations to be put in place to protect their land and water from pipelines and other energy transmission projects.

Join us to show support for these citizens on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the York County Courthouse for the vote on a set of new proposed zoning regulations before the York County Zoning Board.

We also encourage you to voice your support for the new regulations directly with the York County Zoning Board, which can be reached via phone at (402) 362-5583 and by email at: zoning@yorkcountyne.com

The new zoning regulations pertain to land use around underground transmission projects like  hazardous materials pipelines or fiber optics lines, and touch on topics like providing unobstructed access to bury water and irrigation lines below the frost line, and ensuring the protection of topsoil for farmers and ranchers.
