The No Tar Sands Oil Coalition is launching a new, nationwide campaign (video below) to push back on TransCanada’s proposed Keystone XL pipeline which would pump the world’s dirtiest oil through Nebraska’s most precious resource, the Ogallala Aquifer.

No Tar Sands Oil is releasing two TV spots and one radio spot that call on President Obama to prevent a spill like BP’s in the Gulf from happening in the Heartland.  The campaign comes just as Secretary of State Clinton is deciding whether or not to request an additional Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the Keystone XL.  It also follows the release of a Plains Justice report that documents TransCanada’s inadequate Emergency Response Plan for their current Keystone I pipeline.

The ad will be played during primetime television ads CNNMSNBC and Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and Colbert Report.
