Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) on Thursday sent a letter to David L. Robertson, president and CEO of Koch Industries, demanding to know what if any financial interest the company and the Koch Bros. have in TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline.

“We believe Congress and the public have a right to know when individuals funding political ads and attempting to influence government decisions have a financial stake in the outcome.  We certainly believe it would be wrong for any company to mislead Congress and the public by falsely describing its economic stake in legislation,” the Senators wrote in the letter, pasted below.
