Eminent Domain Advocates to Protest at Trump Rally

Atlanta, GA – Republican Presidential hopeful Donald Trump is making a stop in Atlanta, Georgia today following this morning’s private fundraiser hosted by the state’s Governor Nathan Deal and Senator David Perdue.

Coincidentally, an unlikely alliance is gathered in the city this week for a two-day conference, the “Pipelines and Eminent Domain Strategy Session.”

During the session, landowners, conservationists, lawyers and community leaders are working on the complex issues surrounding the use of eminent domain in recent pipeline projects across the U.S. and Canada.

“Donald Trump says he loves eminent domain, that may come to a surprise to conservative Americans. We must end the abuse of eminent domain and once again stand for property rights and the protection of our land and water,” said Jane Kleeb, Bold Alliance President.

Some of the group’s participants planned on short notice to visit the Trump rally to raise awareness in opposition of “eminent domain for private gain,” which tramples the constitutional rights of citizens. Mr. Trump’s supportive position on eminent domain has been widely criticized even among Republicans, and could prove a contentious issue in the election to come.

Both Sen. Sanders and Sec. Clinton have issued statements supporting landowners property rights, which are listed on the Bold website: https://boldnebraska.org/eminentdomain2016/
