The three-member South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) met on Tuesday, Dec. 9, and heard from intervenors in TransCanada’s application for recertification of a construction permit for its proposed Keystone XL pipeline in the state of South Dakota.

The main business discussed was a motion from TransCanada to limit the discovery phase of the process, which was granted with some exceptions laid out by the Commissioners, and the scheduling of dates for discovery and the evidentiary hearing, which were agreed to as follows:
