Editorial cartoonist Neal Obermeyer sent along this new cartoon that lampoons the Nebraska Supreme Court justices who refused to rule on the merits of the Keystone XL case, Thompson v. Heineman.
A majority of justices on the Court (4 of 7) all agreed the pipeline routing and eminent domain law for Keystone XL (and all future pipelines) is unconstitutional. However, because three judges decided to pull a “no comment” on this historic decision, the unconstitutional law is allowed to stay on the books…for now.
Watch this space because the Domina Law Group and Nebraska landowners have a plan B.
